"Wait, what if we rented an RV and made it a roadtrip??"
If I'm being honest, that is a question I almost NEVER would've said yes to. Six people cooped up in an RV for TWO WEEKS?! Not likely...
Like so many others during the pandemic, any and all travel plans took a sharp turn for me and 5 of my closest friends this year. Yet with so many statements like "surely by August things will be better", we stayed determined to go SOMEWHERE and do SOMETHING epic this summer. Life had to get back to "normal" soon right? Yeah not quite. So what started as an unreal trip to the Nordics soon turned into an awesome trip to Alaska, which finalized as, well, an RV trip.
But let me be the first to say...I am so thankful for the "ruined plans" that led to this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
Along with my friends Michael, Chelsey, Eva, Ian, and Marisa, I set out for 2 weeks on a mission to destinations like Flathead Lake, Glacier National Park, the Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone, with so many other amazing stops along the way. And honestly with as much as we were able to see in that span of time, I feel like my words would do it all a disservice, so I'll let the pictures do most of the talking and summarize with this:
Gratitude is one of the greatest weapons against disappointment, and discomfort is often a prerequisite for growth.
